Holmes Denies Striking women in Nightclub March 30, 2010

Looks like Santanio Holmes has been having troubles of his own.

In a night club in Orlando Holmes told the Orlando Police Department that the women refused to give up her seat in the VIP section (which was Holmes seat originally) she called Holmes a racial name.

The womens side of the story is said that when Holmes told the women to get out of his seat in the VIP section he grabbed her wrist and hit her with a glass.

She filed a civil lawsuit on Santanio last week. I personally think this is ridiculous.

New 2010-2011 Rule Changes March 28, 2010

1. You are not allowed to hit a running back full speed above the shoulders

2. If a ball carrier loses his helmet during a play the play is ruled dead. I remember this happened to Jason Witten one time except the play wasn’t called dead.

3. You have to be a certain distance away from the long snapper. If you are too close the play will be ruled dead.

4. In overtime during the post season only if a team kicks a field goal the game is NOT over. The opposing team gets a chance to tie the game with a field goal or win it with a TD. If any team scores a TD the game is automatically over. They don’t want another cheap win like the Saints and Vikings game.

During May the NFL owners will take a vote to see if this ovetime rule will apply for the regular season too. Give me your thoughts. Should this rule apply to the regular season? Comment below.

Torry Holt has been on the move this off-season. After his release from the Jaguars he has been talking to many different teams. Unfortunately he didn’t say who he was talking too. The most important thing he wants though from a team is an elite Quarterback.

Holt who is 33 is wanting a winning team. Not a losing team in which he has been playing with the past two years. For example he said that Jay Cutler or is one elite Quarterback he would like to work with. Tonight at 7 eastern time he will appear on NFL Total Access.

Looks like some teams are interested in McNabb. This is not to blame them because McNabb only has one year left on his contract. Some teams like Oakland, Arizona, and Buffalo were looking into him. Not anymore for the Cardinals anyway. They say the are not interested. No one knows where he will go yet. But some sources say that he will probably be traded now or later.

Donavan McNabb has been the Eagles Quarterback for some time. Who will replace him. Micheal Vick?

Linebacker Joey Porter will not tune it down in Arizona. Joey Porter always makes his name heard with his mouth. The reason the Cardinals acquired this player because of his pass rushing abilities.

But according to NFL.com Joey Porter can get under the skin of his teammates and coaches with his trash talking. But according to Porter no teammate or coach has had a problem with him.

He said, “I’ve never played on a team where any teammates had any negative things to say about me. As far as locker-room stuff, it’s going to be perfect. I’m just going to bring that little extra energy along with (Darnell) Dockett and A-Dub (Adrian Wilson) and those guys out there. I’m just going to add my part to the puzzle and make the defense better than it was last year.”

Here is a video of a tour through the Dolphins Training Facility Last Summer.

Brad Childress Has No Plans To Visit Farve March 21, 2010

Brad Childress has had no plans to visit with Farve. But there is a very big chance that he will play for the 2010 season. No word on if the Farve will stay with the Vikings or move onto a new team.

Also the Vikings are looking for a replacement for Chester Taylor. They wanted L.T but that didn’t happen. No other free agent running backs are available that catch the Vikings eye.

Brett Farve led his Vikings all the way to the NFC Championship game and became Divison Champions. Would be a tough loss if he leaves.
